Chief Minister Shah vows zero tolerance against corruption, emphasizes good governance
Dhangadhi: Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah has reiterated his strong commitment to combating corruption and upholding good governance, stating that there will be no compromise on these issues.
Speaking at an interaction program in Dhangadhi on strengthening interrelations between provincial and local levels—alongside discussions on policies, programs, and budgets—Chief Minister Shah emphasized the need to formulate additional policies and regulations to effectively address corruption and enhance governance. He stressed the importance of cooperation and coexistence between provincial and local governments.
During the program, Provincial Assembly members including Man Bahadur Dhami of the CPN (Maoist Center), Dirgha Bahadur Sodari of the CPN (Unified Socialist), Rajendra Singh Rawal of the ruling CPN (UML), and Bikram Singh Dhami of the Nepali Congress shared their perspectives. They emphasized the need for clear policies in project selection and implementation at the municipal level.
\Participants also called for improved coordination in plan execution, policy reforms to simplify contract procedures, an end to the frequent transfer of provincial secretaries and administrative officers, and the empowerment of the Provincial Policy and Planning Commission with expanded responsibilities.
