Prachanda arrives in Kanchanpur for final leg of Maoist Jagran campaign

Kanchanpur: Chairman of the CPN Maoist Center and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has arrived in Kanchanpur as part of the ongoing Maoist Tarai-Madhes Jagran Campaign with the people.

A series of programs are being conducted in Kanchanpur throughout Wednesday under the Postal Highway-focused campaign. Prachanda began the day with a morning walk and is scheduled to meet and interact with families of martyrs in the rehabilitation area.

At 9 am, he will inaugurate the Ramnagar Drinking Water Project in Belauri, followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the martyrs' memorial in Shobhatal, also in Belauri, along with an observation of the Shobhatal area. From 10:15 am to 11 am, a special welcome and interaction program will be held at the Belauri Municipality hall. This will be followed by a visit to the Calcutta market and a corner meeting in Beldandi.

The Maoist Tarai-Madhes Jagran Campaign is set to conclude today with a final public meeting at the Constitution Chowk Memorial in Mahendranagar Bazaar, focusing on outreach to communities along the Postal Highway. The campaign, launched by the CPN Maoist Center from Jhapa on Falgun 12, has spanned several districts across the region.
