Sudurpaschim Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah leads official delegation to India

Dhangadhi: Sudurpaschim Province Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah and his team are departing for an official visit to India today. The delegation is scheduled to leave for New Delhi from Tribhuvan International Airport shortly after 12 noon.

The visiting team comprises ministers, provincial assembly members, the chief secretary, secretaries, and members of the Chief Minister’s secretariat. After completing the visit, the delegation will return to Kailali via road from Lucknow on Baisakh 22. Chief Minister Shah highlighted that this marks the first time a provincial government team from Nepal is visiting India at the formal invitation of the Indian government.

During the visit, the delegation will meet federal ministers in New Delhi and hold interactions with the Vivekananda International Foundation Association. The team’s itinerary also includes visits to various locations in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. According to the provincial government, the agenda features an observation tour of the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, visits to the religious tourism hub of Ayodhya, agricultural zones in Dehradun, and tourist areas in Uttarakhand, as well as meetings with the Chief Minister and Agriculture Minister of Uttarakhand.

The delegation includes Minister for Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives Bir Bahadur Thapa; Civil Liberation Party Parliamentary Party Leader Ghanashyam Chaudhary; and CPN-UML Chief Whip Naresh Kumar Shahi.

Also part of the delegation are CPN-Maoist Centre Provincial Assembly Member Jhapat Bahadur Saund, Policy and Planning Commission Member Sher Bahadur Bhandari, Chief Secretary Dr. Kamal Prasad Pokharel, Physical Infrastructure Development Ministry Secretary Surat Kumar Bam, Chief Minister’s Political Advisor Dr. Jitu Upadhyay, and Personal Secretary Ram Bahadur Bista.
