Body of missing girl recovered from irrigation canal in Kailali

Dhangadhi: The body of a young girl who went missing after drowning in a canal of the Ranijamara Kulariya Irrigation Project in Kailali has been recovered.

According to police, 9-year-old Khushi Badi drowned while bathing in the Balchaur Somwar canal at Lamkichuha Municipality-3. Her body was discovered on Tuesday morning, lodged at an electricity intake point along the canal.

Authorities have sent her body to Tikapur Hospital for post-mortem examination.
