Bhuvan Mahara re-elected as president of Durga Laxmi Multiple Campus's independent students' union
Dhangadhi: Bhuvan Mahara has been re-elected with his panel as president of the Independent Students' Union (SSU) at Durga Laxmi Multiple Campus in Attariya, Kailali.
Mahara, representing the Nepali Students' Union, secured the presidency with 441 votes, defeating Bam Bahadur Bishwakarma of the Akhil Samyukta panel, who garnered 378 votes. This marks Mahara’s second consecutive term as SSU president.
In other results, Jyoti Sahu of the Nepali Students' Union won the post of secretary with 474 votes, while her closest rival, Ganeshnath Yogi of Akhil Samyukta, received 326 votes.
Similarly, Sonia Shah, also from the Nepali Students' Union, was elected treasurer with 445 votes, defeating Deepika Joshi of the Akhil Samyukta panel, who received 351 votes. The Nepali Students' Union also secured victory in the member posts.
A total of 831 votes were cast in the election held at Durga Laxmi Multiple Campus on Wednesday.
