Compensation to be distributed to 143 affected individuals in Api Nampa Conservation area
Darchula: The Api Nampa Conservation Area Office is set to distribute compensation to 143 individuals affected by wild animal attacks within the conservation area.
According to Information Officer Manoj Awasthi, compensation will be provided for losses related to livestock, food crops, and human casualties caused by wild animals. He stated that in the current fiscal year, compensation has already been distributed to 105 affected individuals, and the office has recommended financial support for an additional 38 people.
In the previous fiscal year, the office provided Rs. 15 lakhs in compensation to 142 individuals impacted by wildlife-related damages.
