Fugitive defendant in sexual abuse case arrested in Kanchanpur

Dhangadhi: A fugitive defendant in a sexual abuse case has been arrested in Kanchanpur.

25-year-old Pushkar Bharti of Laljhadi Rural Municipality-4 was taken into custody by the police on Saturday. Bharti had been on the run since the Kanchanpur District Court sentenced him to six months in prison and ordered him to pay Rs 25,000 in compensation on Asoj 13, 2081.

A police team from the Area Police Office, Belauri, apprehended him from Chandev Kalagaudi, Laljhadi Rural Municipality-6.
