Newly appointed members of land commission Kailali take oath

Dhangadhi: The newly appointed members of the Land Problem Resolution Commission, Kailali have taken the oath of office and secrecy.

Kamal Singh Rana and Dan Bahadur Bishwakarma 'Chitran', appointed as expert members of the commission, were sworn in on Tuesday.

The oath was administered by Yagya Raj Upadhyay, chairman of the Land Problem Resolution Commission, Kailali. Both members were appointed from the CPN (UML) quota.

The Land Problem Resolution Commission Coordination Committee will be complete following the appointment of a member aligned with the Nepali Congress.

The chief guest at the oath-taking ceremony, CPN (UML) Politburo member and Kailali in-charge Naradamuni Rana, who is also a former minister, expressed confidence that land-related issues in Kailali would be resolved during their tenure.

Chairman Upadhyay emphasized his hope that the committee under his leadership would serve as the final Land Problem Resolution Commission, noting that 135,000 people in Kailali remain landless. He reiterated his commitment to resolving land-related issues with the support and cooperation of all stakeholders.
