Far West provincial selection for Prime Minister's cup cricket to be held in Baitadi
Baitadi: The Far West Provincial-level selection for the Prime Minister’s Cup Men’s One-Day National Cricket Tournament is set to take place in Baitadi.
The tournament, commencing on Falgun 21, will be played at the Dasharath Chand Cricket Ground in Sundarkhali, Dasharath Chand Municipality-5, Baitadi, according to Laxman Dutta Bhatta, Secretary of the Sudurpaschim Provincial Cricket Association. The competition will feature eight teams and will be held in two phases: Plate and Elite Championships.
The Plate Championship matches will begin on Falgun 21, followed by the Elite Cup from Falgun 24. In the opening match of the Plate Championship, Bajhang and Darchula will face off, while Dadeldhura and Doti will compete in the second match of the day.
The Plate Championship schedule is as follows:
Falgun 22: Darchula vs. Doti, Dadeldhura vs. Bajhang
Falgun 23: Darchula vs. Dadeldhura, Bajhang vs. Doti
The champion team of the Plate Championship will qualify for the Elite Cup, informed Vasudev Joshi, President of the Far West Provincial Cricket Association.
The Elite Cup will commence on Falgun 14, featuring the following fixtures:
Falgun 14: Baitadi vs. Achham
Falgun 15: Plate Champion vs. Achham
Falgun 16: Baitadi vs. Plate Champion
Falgun 17: Achham vs. Kanchanpur
Falgun 18: Kanchanpur vs. Plate Champion
Falgun 19: Kailali vs. Achham
Falgun 20: Plate Champion vs. Kailali
Falgun 21: Baitadi vs. Kanchanpur
Falgun 22: Kailali vs. Kanchanpur
Falgun 23: Kailali vs. Baitadi
The final match will be held on Falgun 24 between the top two teams of the tournament. The event aims to select and prepare the Far West team for the Prime Minister’s Cup One-Day National Cricket
