Woman dies after falling from tractor in Kailali

Dhangadhi: A tragic accident in Kailali has claimed the life of a woman who fell from a moving tractor.

According to police, the incident occurred in the Mainpokhari canal of Joshipur Rural Municipality-5. The tractor (No. Sudurpaschim Province 01-002 Ta 5232), driven by 50-year-old Tej Bahadur Mauni, was involved in the accident.

The victim, identified as 58-year-old Rampati Tharuni, a resident of Simrana in Joshipur, fell from the tractor and was crushed by its tire around 7 p.m. on Thursday. She was immediately taken to Kohalpur Medical College for treatment but succumbed to her injuries.

Authorities have taken both the tractor and its driver into custody for further investigation.
