Customs evasion goods worth Rs 2.62 lakh seized in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Goods valued at approximately Rs 262,000, smuggled into Nepal by evading customs duties, have been seized from various locations in Kailali.

According to the District Police Office, Kailali, the items were confiscated from Dhangadhi-2 near Ramjanaki Temple, Kalika Temple in Dhangadhi-10, Ganapati Itabhatta, Dhangadhi-19 Lallipur, and Godavari-4 Vanadevi.

The seized goods include sugar, almonds, bidis, tobacco, children's clothes, shawls, high-neck sweaters, trousers, woolen shirts, sweaters, railing pillars, and other items. The operation was carried out by a police patrol team deployed from the District Police Office and its subordinate units.

Authorities have taken the goods under control and initiated further action against the illegal import activities.
