Motorcyclist killed in collision in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: A motorcyclist lost his life in a crash in Dhangadhi, Kailali, on Tuesday.

The deceased, identified as 40-year-old Kamlesh Chaudhary of Hasuliya, Kailari Rural Municipality-3, was riding towards Phulbari from Dhangadhi. His motorcycle (Sudurpaschim 010011 Pa 7071) collided from behind with a rickshaw driven by 35-year-old Santosh Sarki of B Village, Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-14, near Depot Bazaar in Dhangadhi Sub-metropolitan City-18.

Chaudhary sustained serious injuries in the accident and was rushed to Seti Provincial Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to Joint Spokesperson and Police Inspector Darshan Khadka of the District Police Office, Kailali, both the motorcycle and the rickshaw, along with the rickshaw driver, have been taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
