Illegal goods worth Rs 4 lakh seized in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Authorities have seized illegal goods valued at approximately Rs 392,940 from Kanchanpur. The items were reportedly smuggled from India without paying customs duties.

The contraband was confiscated from Bhimdatta Municipality-8, Aithpur, near the customs office, and Bhimdatta Municipality-17, Majhagaon. A police patrol team from the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, discovered the goods.

The seized items include sugar, sugar candy, peas, cooking oil, sweaters, tow trucks, hats, gloves, bicycle locks, plastic membranes, brake shoes, four-wheelers, bicycle chains, bicycle stains, bicycle gears, glasses, nut bolts, hardware, groceries, and other items, many of which were found in a state of disrepair.
