Textile warehouse fire in Kailali causes Rs 80 lakhs in damage, Injures three
Dhangadhi: A fire in a textile warehouse in Kailali has resulted in an estimated loss of Rs 80 lakhs and left three individuals injured.
The fire broke out in the warehouse located in the house of Dwarika Prasad Dhamala in Bardagoriya Rural Municipality-2, Baunia. According to the Area Police Office Baunia, the fire destroyed clothes and electrical goods valued at approximately Rs 80 lakhs.
Among the injured is 82-year-old Mukti Prasad Dhamala, who lost consciousness due to smoke inhalation and is receiving treatment at Khapar Polyclinic Baunia. Additionally, Tekraj Joshi, 39, and police constable Tankadhwaj Magar sustained injuries while attempting to control the blaze. They are being treated at Bardagoriya Hospital Baunia.
The fire was eventually brought under control with the combined efforts of the police, locals, and a fire brigade. Authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
