Teen injured in wedding clash in Kailali; Four Arrested

Dhangadhi: A teenager sustained injuries, and four individuals were arrested following a violent altercation at a wedding in Kailali.

The incident occurred on Saturday during the wedding celebration of Om Bahadur Timla's son in Ghodaghodi Municipality-7. Ankit Gautam, 15, was severely beaten, resulting in a head injury. He is currently receiving treatment at Nisargadhi Hospital.

Four suspects—Akash Bik, 23, Mohan Bam, 29, Tareshu Bohara, 22, and Durga Punami Magar, 27—were taken into custody by the police, confirmed Deputy Superintendent of Police Kabindra Singh Bohara, spokesperson for the District Police Office, Kailali.

Police intervened following the assault. However, the group involved in the beating reportedly attempted to attack the officers as well. The Area Police Office in Sukhad is conducting further investigations into the incident.
