Motorcycle-Pickup jeep collision in Kailali leaves one injured

Dhangadhi: A collision between a motorcycle and a pickup jeep in Kailali has left one person injured.

The accident occurred on the Shivaganga Bridge in Gauriganga Municipality-3 when a pickup jeep (Province No. 3 Ba 0679), driven by 40-year-old Prakash Deuba of Krishnapur Municipality-4, Kanchanpur, was traveling west to east. The collision involved a motorcycle (Sudurpaschim Province No. 01001 Pa 5920) driven by Bisan Bista of Ghodaghodi Municipality-5.

According to the police, the accident happened as Bista attempted to overtake from the wrong direction, leading to the crash. Bista sustained injuries to his head, legs, and hands and is currently receiving treatment at Life Care Hospital in Chaumala. Meanwhile, the police have taken the jeep driver, Deuba, into custody for further investigation.
