Customs evasion goods worth nearly Rs 4 lakhs seized in Kailali

Dhangadhi: Authorities in Kailali have seized goods worth approximately Rs 397,270 that were illegally imported from India.

The items, which include sugar, spices, pasta, bidis, shoe parts, plastic ropes, and jhimbi, were confiscated from various locations in the district, such as Dhangadhi-3 Traffic Chauhara, Dhangadhi-7 Motichowk, Dhangadhi-18 Naklipur, Bhajani Municipality-8 near Kalika School, and Tikapur Municipality-9 Baluwatar.\

The operation was conducted by a patrol team from the District Police Office, Kailali, and its subordinate units. The seized goods were reportedly brought into Nepal without customs clearance, violating import regulations.
