Fugitive in polygamy case arrested in Baitadi

Baitadi: A fugitive convicted in a polygamy case has been apprehended in Baitadi.

Suresh Singh Bist, 40, a resident of Melauli Municipality-1, had been evading arrest following a court ruling sentencing him to 11 months and 26 days of imprisonment for polygamy.

Bist was arrested on Sunday by a police team deployed from the Area Police Office Patan. He was found in Patan Municipality-6, according to authorities.
