Tents and Solar Panels Distributed to Landslide Victims in Kailali
Dhangadhi: Relief efforts are underway for landslide victims in Kailali, with 52 families in Baluwagada, Chure Rural Municipality-4, receiving tents and solar panels.
These families, displaced by landslides five years ago, have been living near the forest. Village Chairman Chakra Bahadur Bogti stated that the assistance was provided to help the affected families during the rainy season. "Solar panels and tarps have been provided according to their needs," he said.
Bogti also accused the Sub-Division Forest Office of disrupting the lives of the landslide victims by planting trees and fencing the area. In addition, 15 families taking shelter along the Bhimdatta highway roadside in Chure Rural Municipality-5, Khanidanda, have been given food, tents, and solar panels.
