More than 1700 convicts on the fugitive list in Sudurpaschim
Dhangadhi: Seventeen hundred people who have been convicted for various cases by District Court Kailali are on the fugitive list.
People who are liable to pay fines and serve imprisonment are on the absconding list because they do not appear in the court. As of March of the current financial year, 1748 people who have been found guilty by the court have been fined more than 12 million.
The District Court of Kailali has decided that those found guilty will have to pay fine for about 2,000 years of imprisonment. Until March of the current financial year, 1,748 people have been convicted in various cases by the Kailali District Court. The district court has ordered the payment of fines and imprisonment by the person convicted by the court.
The court has decided to recover a fine of Rs 128 lakh 59 thousand 499 from the absconding defendants from July 2065 to last year. Until last year, the court had ordered to collect a fine of Rs. 4 crore 44 lakhs 90 thousand 265 rupees.
From 2065 to the last fiscal year, it has been decided that the persons convicted by the court should serve 2,774 years and 10 months and 24 days of imprisonment. But the 100% implementation of the district court's decision has not been implemented.
Among the judgments of the court, a full fine of Rs 3 crore 26 lakh 65 thousand 17 and imprisonment of 79 years 2 months 16 days has been recovered. Similarly, it is mentioned in the details provided by the court that 1 crore 25 lakh 66 thousand 397 rupees and 764 rupees has to be recovered for 765 years 9 months 16 days of imprisonment from the new verdicts.
The Kailali court has recovered Rs. 3 crore 26 lakhs 65 thousand 17 rupees for 79 years 2 months 16 days. Since 2065 to the end of June 2080, the Kailali court is yet to receive Rs. 8 crore 81 lakh 94 thousand 481 hundred for 1 thousand 7 hundred 18 years 11 months 1 day.
It has been decided by the court that till the end of March of the current financial year, an additional fine of Rs. 3 crore 19 lakh 23 thousand and 868 rupees fine and 211 years 11 months 16 days worth of imprisonment is said to be collected by the court. From the judgments of District Court Kailali till the end of March, it is seen that the state has to recover 12 crore 1 lakh 18 thousand 350 rupees and those found guilty as they have to pay imprisonment fine of 1 thousand 930 years 10 months 17 days.
