Ravi Odd Surrenders To The Police in Jhalari
Dhangadhi: Singer Ravi Odd, who has been accused of marital rape has surrendered to the police.
District Police Office Kanchanpur Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Umesh Joshi said that Odd surrendered himself at the Area Police Office Jhalari. According to DSP Joshi, Ravi is being investigated by the district court with an extension of five days.
His wife filed a complaint against him on April 2. Odd was the winner of Nepal Idol season 2. His wife filed a case alleging adultery and marital rape. On the same day, the Kanchanpur District Court issued an arrest warrant against Odd. Odd is now in custody of the local police office, Jhalari.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Joshi informed that the police have investigated the matter. A month ago, his wife filed a complaint of adultery against Odd, the winner of Nepal Idol season-2. The couple had been engaged seven years ago in 2073. After winning Nepal Idol season-2 in the year 2075, Ravi, had not taken the engagement further. The girl who had been expecting to tie the knot came to Odd’s house to discuss their engagement.
Thereafter, they moved in together and lived together for a year and a half. According to the girl Odd made advances at her on various occasions without marrying her. The girl reached the area police office Gularia on March 26 to file a complaint against him. Thereafter, Ravi married her legally. A week after their marriage, on April 3, Odd's wife went to the local police office Jhalari to register a case of adultery and filed a complaint against Odd.
