Government of India to build a school in Baitadi

Baitadi: A school building will be constructed in Baitadi with the help of the Government of India.

The building of Bhumeshwar Secondary School in Patan Municipality-4 is about to be constructed with the financial assistance of Rs.3 crore under 'Nepal-India Development Cooperation'. Patan Municipality Chief Gauri Sinharawal and Indian Embassy First Secretary Avinash Kumar Singh jointly laid the foundation stone of the building on Friday.

According to the Indian Embassy here, this project will be carried out as a high impact community development project under the agreement between the Government of India and Nepal. It will be implemented through Patan Municipality for building construction.

On that occasion, Mayor Rawal expressed his gratitude for the continuous support of the Indian government for the development of the Nepalese people. The new building will be useful for providing quality education to the students studying at Bhumeshwar Secondary School in Patan Municipality of Baitadi and it will create a good environment for teaching.

It will also contribute to the development of education in this region," said the statement issued by the Indian Embassy. According to the statement, since 2003, more than 551 high-impact community development projects have been implemented in various areas of Nepal, while 490 projects have been completed. Out of these, 40 projects are in operation at various locations in Sudurpaschim Province.
