Civil Liberation Party's Lakshman Kishore Set to Join Sudurpaschim Cabinet as Minister
Dhangadhi: Chief Minister Kamal Bahadur Shah of Sudurpaschim Province is poised to expand his Council of Ministers by including another member from the Civil Liberation Party.
Reports suggest that Lakshman Kishore Choudhary is slated to be appointed as the Minister of Social Development on Monday afternoon, as per sources within the Civil Liberation Party. The induction ceremony, where Choudhary will take the oath of office and secrecy, is expected to be presided over by State Chief Devraj Joshi.
This development follows the recent appointments made by Chief Minister Shah on Friday, wherein Ghanshyam Choudhary was appointed as the Minister of Economic Affairs, Khushi Ram Choudhary as the Non-Departmental Minister, and Indira Giri as the Minister of State for Agriculture. With Rameshwar Chaudhary already serving as the Minister of Land Management, Agriculture, and Cooperatives, Choudhary's inclusion will bring the total number of Naupa ministers in the Sudurpaschim government to five.
Facing the challenge of a minority government after two supporting parties withdrew their backing, Chief Minister Shah strategically allocated additional ministries to the Civil Liberation Party to secure a majority. Shah's commitment to appointing ministers from the Naupa faction remains steadfast, with assurances that Joshi and Bista will also be accommodated in ministerial roles as the ministry expands.
