Authorities Confiscate Illegal Goods Exceeding 50,000 in Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: In a recent crackdown, law enforcement authorities in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city, Kailali, successfully seized a significant quantity of illegal goods from various locations. The operation, conducted on Sunday, targeted goods including sugar, misri, coconut, chillies, lollipops, and peas, collectively valued at approximately 42,130. These items were intercepted at the Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-3 traffic intersection, where it is believed they were being illicitly transported to evade customs.
The District Police Office Kailali further reported another successful operation in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city-2, Katan, resulting in the recovery of goods valued at around 16,400. The confiscated items included sugar, bidi, tobacco, sweets, coconut, and biscuits. Authorities are actively investigating the origins and destinations of these illegal goods as part of their ongoing efforts to curb illicit activities and maintain public safety.
