Bajhang Center Shaken by 4.5 Magnitude Earthquake

Dhangadhi: Once again, the seismic activity has rattled Bajhang, as an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.5 struck the district's center. The Earthquake Measurement Center in Surkhet reported that the tremor occurred at 11:37 on Monday morning, with the epicenter located in the Dhamena area of the district.

Residents in Bajhang, as well as those in neighboring hilly districts such as Baitadi and Bajura, experienced the tremors. Sudurpaschim Province witnessed the effects of the earthquake, underlining its regional impact.

This event follows a previous earthquake in Bajhang during October, where the epicenter was traced to Chainpur and Diyanot. The recurrence of seismic activity underscores the need for ongoing monitoring and preparedness in the affected regions. Authorities are urged to remain vigilant, and residents are advised to stay informed about safety measures in the wake of such occurrences.
