Authorities Apprehend 14-Year-Old in Bajhang for Shop Vandalism
Dhangadhi: A 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody for vandalizing a shop in Bajhang. The juvenile faces charges related to theft from Aspalus mobile gallery near the intersection of the headquarters in Chainpur.
As reported by the District Police Office Bajhang, Ajay Bohra, a 14-year-old resident of Surma Rural Municipality Ward Number 2, was apprehended after locals observed him pilfering from the mobile gallery around 11:30 pm on Friday night. Promptly notified, law enforcement, led by Bajhang Police Chief and DSP Bharat Bahadur Shah, swiftly acted, apprehending the young suspect.
Shop owner Shivraj Upadhyay conveyed that although the boy had entered the shop by breaking the lock, he refrained from stealing goods upon the arrival of the police and local residents. However, some electronic items, including mobile phones and laptops, were reported as damaged. The incident is currently under further investigation.
It is worth noting that the juvenile had previously vandalized a basic health center in Surma Rural Municipality-3 Dhanidhara last October, where he not only caused destruction but also pilfered medical supplies. Authorities continue to delve into the details surrounding these incidents involving the young offender.
