Elderly Resident Injured as Earthquake Causes Stone to Fall on House in Bajhang

Bajhang: In Bajhang, an elderly man sustained injuries when a stone dislodged and fell onto his residence as a result of an earthquake. The incident unfolded earlier today at 11:45 in the morning, affecting Suko Farada of Mashta-4, who was seated in the courtyard at the time.

The earthquake originated from the epicenter located at the heart of Bhatekhola in Bajhang's Mashta Rural Municipality. Uttam Joshi, the Ward President of Mashta-4, provided details of the unfortunate incident, noting that Mr. Farada suffered injuries to his hand, and his clothing was torn during the event.

Due to the severity of his injuries, he was subsequently referred to the District Hospital Simkhet, as the Bhatekhola Health Chowki was unable to provide the necessary medical care. The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of preparedness and safety measures in earthquake-prone regions.
