Two Clinic Operators, Including Female, Apprehended in Dhangadhi for Illegal Operation

Dhangadhi: Two clinic operators, one male and one female, have been arrested in Dhangadhi, Kailali, for operating their clinics illegally.

The arrests took place on Monday after the police acted on specific information about unauthorized medical, pharmacy, and medicine shops operating in the Dhangadhi area. The individuals arrested were identified as Arjun Kunwar, aged 45, proprietor of Arjun Clinic located in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan-3, Bora-dandi, and Kamala Bohara, aged 21, resident of Gauriganga Municipality-10, owner of Abhinav Health Clinic situated in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan-7, Deoriya.

A joint team comprising officials from District Police Office Kailali and District Public Health Office Dhangadhi carried out the operation leading to the apprehension of both clinic operators. Subsequent investigations revealed that they were conducting medical operations and selling medicines without the required permissions.

As a result of their actions, the accused are now subject to an ongoing investigation, conducted under the Criminal Code, 2074 BS, for offenses related to treatment without proper authorization. The authorities are committed to upholding the law and ensuring that medical services provided in the area adhere to the necessary legal standards and regulations.
