Fugitive Accused in Drug Case Apprehended in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Kanchanpur authorities successfully apprehended Santosh Bista, who had been on the run after being accused in a drug case.

The arrest took place on Thursday, as confirmed by the police. Previously, the Kanchanpur district court had sentenced Bista to a term of 4 years, 9 months, and 13 days in prison, along with a fine of 5,000, for his involvement in the drug-related offense.

The court had pronounced the verdict on the 13th of April, 2022 (30th of Chaitra, 2078 BS). Following his capture, Bista was sent to jail to serve the prescribed sentence.
