Far-west Ministry of Social Development honored the best entrepreneurs
Dhangadhi: The Ministry of Social Development in Dhangadhi recently recognized and celebrated the accomplishments of the top entrepreneurs in the Far West region. Eleven outstanding entrepreneurs, selected through the rigorous evaluation process outlined in the Best Entrepreneur Award Procedure of 2079 BS, were felicitated during a ceremony held in Dhangadhi.
Minister of Social Development, Jhapta Bahadur Saud, presented cash prizes of NPR 50,000 to each of the honorees during the event held on Tuesday. Among the recipients were Vikas Neupane, the proprietor of Sudurpaschim Integrated Agriculture and Livestock Firm in Chure Rural Municipality Ward No. 5, Harendra Bahadur Bohara, the owner of Four Fox Cattle in Krishnapur-4 of Kanchanpur, Hema Bhatt, the founder of Hunainath Garment in Shuklaphanta-5, and Chakra Bahadur, the proprietor of Chakra Milan Furniture Udyog in Achham.
Furthermore, Parylal Jethara, the owner of Himalayan Nepali Paper Industry in Mashta Rural Municipality Ward No. 7 of Bajhang, Chandraveer Budha, the proprietor of Himalayan Nepali Hand Paper Industry in Himali Rural Municipality Ward No. 2 of Bajura, and Dhanadevi Thapa, the founder of Pratibha Nepali Hand Paper Industry in Triveni Municipality Ward No. 7, were also honored for their remarkable contributions.
Savitra Ojha, the proprietor of Green Mountain Agricultural Development Firm in Amargadhi Municipality Ward No. 5 of Dadeldhura, and Laxmikant Paneru, the owner of GR Agriculture and Animal Husbandry in Ward No. 3 of Ajaymeru Rural Municipality, were acknowledged as outstanding entrepreneurs. Similarly, Jaysingh Saund, the founder of Ratashila Kutani Pisani Industry in Purchoudi Municipality Ward No. 7 of Baitadi, and Rajesh Singh Nepali, the owner of Rajesh Sewing Center in Mahakali Municipality-4 of Darchula, were also recognized for their noteworthy achievements.
During the award ceremony, Rukmini Devkota, the state president of the Federation of Domestic and Small Industries, emphasized that acknowledging successful entrepreneurs would serve as an inspiration for others to venture into business. She further expressed that entrepreneurship not only enhances self-esteem but also improves one's financial situation.
Addressing the audience, Minister Saunde highlighted the government's commitment to fostering a self-reliant economy by identifying and leveraging the region's natural and economic resources. He emphasized the importance of self-sufficiency in forestry, herbal products, and agriculture, stating that the government aims to promote entrepreneurship and boost morale among entrepreneurs.
Gyan Prasad Dhakal, the Secretary of the Ministry of Social Welfare, encouraged the youth to explore entrepreneurial opportunities in various sectors, utilizing their knowledge, skills, abilities, and capital. He expressed optimism for the future growth of industries, job creation, and the overall progress of the region. Dhakal stated that the awards were intended to enhance entrepreneurs' self-awareness and self-esteem.
Minister Saud revealed that the decision to confer the awards was made to inspire the youth to become entrepreneurs and generate employment opportunities. Secretary Dhakal assured that the state government would provide concessional loans and collaborate with local authorities to facilitate the marketing of products, ensuring that a lack of capital does not hinder entrepreneurial aspirations in the region.
