Authorities Seize Contraband Goods Linked to Customs Evasion in Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: Law enforcement agencies in Kailali have successfully intercepted and recovered goods associated with customs evasion.
A police team dispatched from the District Police Office Kailali discovered and seized various items, including suits, underwear, leggings, and plastic membranes, with an estimated value of NPR 35,000. The operation took place near Sub-Mahamanapalika-3 Customs in the district, and the confiscated goods were determined to be illicit and in violation of customs regulations.
Furthermore, in a separate incident, the police team from Trinagar Police Station identified and confiscated goods valued at NPR 10,000, which were involved in customs evasion. These items comprised sugar, nicel powder, dew beverages, and ice cream. The recovery occurred in Milan Chowk, situated within Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis-3.
The diligent efforts of the law enforcement personnel have led to the successful seizure of these contraband goods, which were being unlawfully trafficked in an attempt to evade customs duties.
