Customs evasion goods were found in different places of Dhangadhi
Dhangadhi: Multiple instances of customs evasion have recently come to light in various locations across Dhangadhi. Local authorities reported the discovery of illicit goods, including shampoo, bidi (hand-rolled cigarettes), pickles, sugar, and sweets, with an estimated value of approximately Rs. 34,000. These items were seized by the police from customs officials at Mangalgar, Dhangadhi-3, specifically at Milan Chowk.
Moreover, the Kailali District Police Office has taken custody of additional contraband items, including customs slips, slippers, bidis, tobacco, kurtis (traditional attire), and cooking oil, valued at approximately Rs. 28,350. These goods were intercepted at Milan Chowk in Dhangadhi-3. In a separate incident on the same day, the Bahuliya Area Police Office confiscated goods worth around Rs. 6,000, including fertilizers, in Dhangadhi-14.
