Significant Seizure of Counterfeit Goods in Dhangadhi Exceeds One Lakh

Dhangadhi: Authorities in Dhangadhi have successfully intercepted and confiscated counterfeit goods valued at over one lakh rupees. A specialized police team dispatched from the District Police Office Kailali discovered and seized a range of items, including sugar, sweets, pasta, salt, soda, dhoti, suit, and tobacco, amounting to a total worth of 1,23,565 rupees.

According to law enforcement officials, the illicit goods, which were smuggled from India with the intention of evading customs, were discovered abandoned at Milan Chowk in Upa Mahagarpalika-3. The confiscated items have been promptly handed over to the Kailali Customs Office to initiate the necessary legal proceedings, as stated by the police.
