Asian Development Bank Expresses Readiness to Invest in Far Western Province

Dhangadhi: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has conveyed its willingness to invest in the development of Far Western Province, signaling its commitment to providing essential support and cooperation in various sectors.

Arnaud Koukois, ADB's Country Director for Nepal, emphasized the bank's preparedness to extend necessary assistance and collaboration in several key areas for the advancement of Far Western Province. These areas encompass tourism, sustainable forestry practices, preservation of religious sites, agriculture, and the expansion of road networks.

During a discussion held with Far West Chief Minister Kamal Shah, Physical Infrastructure Development Minister Prakash Bahadur Deuba, Mayor of Dhangadhi Sub-Metropolis Gopal Hamalgaet, and Arju Rana, a member of the House of Representatives from the Nepali Congress party, Dr. Arju Rana reaffirmed the ADB's commitment. The Chief Minister's secretariat informed that the Far West government is currently in Kathmandu, aiming to attract investments to the province.

The ADB's expression of interest in investing in Far Western Province carries significant potential for bolstering its overall development, as the bank's support can facilitate critical infrastructure projects and foster growth in key sectors.
