Three injured in Darchula lightning strike while collecting yarsagumba
Darchula: Three people have been injured in Darchula after being struck by lightning while collecting yarsagumba in Patan, located in Byas Rural Municipality-2 Humdungti. The incident occurred around 8 PM on Saturday night. The victims were identified as 18-year-old Mahesh Badal of Duhun Rural Municipality-2 Hikila, 37-year-old Ansingh Mehra and his 30-year-old wife Manmati Mehra, both from the same Rural Municipality-1 Pipalchauri Baspali.
The Darchula police reported that police assistant inspector Narayan Bishta from temporary police post Dumling has been sent to the scene to investigate the incident. Lightning strikes are common during the monsoon season in Nepal, and people are advised to take necessary precautions when venturing outdoors during thunderstorms.
