Deuda Foundation Treasurer Collects Funds for Artist Welfare Fund on Birthday

Dhangadhi: Prem Vivas Chand, the treasurer of Deuda Foundation, has marked his birthday by collecting funds for the artist welfare fund. At a program held on Sunday, an amount of NPR 5,101 was donated towards the establishment of a fund aimed at inspiring, honoring, and supporting artists facing challenging circumstances.

Chand expressed his desire to establish a fund that will aid artists in the Far West region of Nepal. He handed over the collected amount to Dal Bahadur Bogti, the Chairman of Deuda Foundation. The procedure for the fund's establishment and operation will be determined in the coming days.

In lieu of celebrating his birthday, Chand opted to contribute to the establishment of the 'Akshay Kosh' fund. The fund transfer program was attended by officials of Deuda Academy, Sudurpaschim Sahitya Samaj, and Rashtriya Lokdohri Academy.

The establishment of an artist welfare fund is expected to provide support and encouragement to struggling artists in the Far West region. This initiative reflects the efforts of organizations and individuals to promote and sustain the arts, which play a significant role in enriching Nepalese culture.
