Two Youths from Kailali Arrested on Suspicion of Goat Theft
Dhangadhi: Police have apprehended two individuals from Kailali on charges of stealing goats, according to official sources. The suspects, identified as Navin Tamrakar and Harish Chunara of Godawari Municipality-10 Malakheti, were detained by law enforcement officials in connection with a goat theft case in the Jamunatol area of Kanchanpur's Krishnapur Municipality Ward 5.
The police team, stationed in Gulria, Kanchanpur, carried out the operation that led to the arrests, after which the suspects were handed over to the Ela Police Office Jhalari for further investigation.
Theft is a serious criminal offense in Nepal, and the authorities have been working to combat property crime across the country. In recent years, there has been a rise in incidents of livestock theft, with goats and sheep among the most frequently targeted animals.
As the investigation into this case continues, no further details have been made available by the police.
