Baitadi: Residents of Surnaya in Baitadi have donated land for the construction of a Gaura House, a facility that will provide shelter during the Gaura festival. The donation comes at a time when housing shortages have become a pressing issue in the area.

Dan Bahadur Airi and Veer Bahadur Airi, both local residents of Dungri village, have generously donated land for the project. Dan Bahadur Airi, an elected ward member of ward number-2, laid the foundation stone during a ceremony on Friday, marking the start of construction.

Chandra Singh Airi, a local and youth leader of the Congress Party, expressed gratitude towards the donors and emphasized the importance of their social work. The construction of the Gaura House is being funded by the Sudurpaschim Province.

Once completed, the Gaura House is expected to provide much-needed relief to locals during the Gaura festival, when housing availability is limited. The project serves as an example of community members coming together to address critical needs in their area.
