Dhangadhi: The Far Western Province Government's Minister of Physical Infrastructure Development, Prakash Deuba, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to the development of the Rana-Tharu community in Kailali Kanchanpur. Speaking at the two-day Rana-Tharu festival in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan ward number 13, organized by the Rana Culture Preservation and Development Forum, Minister Deuba stated that the provincial government would undertake the necessary policy and structural reforms to ensure the social and human development of the Ranatharus in the region.

During the event, the Rana Culture Preservation and Development Forum presented Minister Deuba with a five-point memorandum. The memorandum called for the museum to own the land where the Rana-Tharu museum is currently under construction in Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan ward no. 13, for the government to coordinate the construction of the museum, for budget allocation for future festivals, and for the government to manage the budget for public awareness and educational programs being conducted by the platform. The festival was an opportunity for the Rana-Tharu community to showcase their unique culture and traditions, and for the government to demonstrate its support for the community's development.
