10 gamblers arrested in Darchula

Darchula: Ten individuals have been apprehended in Darchula on suspicion of engaging in gambling activities. The group was taken into custody by authorities on Friday after police discovered them participating in the illicit activity in a house located in the district headquarters.

According to the Spokesperson of the District Police Office in Darchula, Inspector Gyanendra Singh, the group was arrested in a raid carried out at the residence of Ganesh Singh Budhathoki in Mahakali Municipality-4 Bangabagad. Those arrested by the police include Devsingh Karki, Ganesh Singh Dhami, Dilipsingh Dhami, Kamalsingh Dhami, Mohansingh Karki, and Kamalsingh Thagunna.

The police operation was carried out based on special information, and upon arrival at Budhathoki's residence around 5 pm, the authorities seized a sum of 43 thousand 568 rupees and arrested the ten individuals.

Gambling is strictly prohibited in Nepal, and the government continues to crack down on illicit gambling activities across the country. The detained individuals are expected to face legal consequences for their alleged involvement in the unlawful activity.
