Mother and Daughter Sustain Injuries in Kailali Bus Accident

Dhangadhi: A bus collision on the roadside of Kailali has left a mother and daughter injured. The incident occurred when the Sudurpaschim Pradesh 2001B 1246 bus, en route from Bajhang to Mahendranagar, crashed into a tin-covered retail shop at Teddy Bazar of Chure Rural Municipality-3, around 3 o'clock last night, as per police reports.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kuldeep Chand, spokesperson for the District Police Office, stated that two individuals were injured as a result of the collision. The injured parties were identified as 23-year-old Priya Dhami and her 4-year-old daughter Menuka Dhami, both from Bajhang's Bithadchir rural municipality-6.

The injured mother and daughter are currently receiving medical treatment at Padma Hospital, while the other passengers on the bus remain unharmed. Unfortunately, the retail shop, owned by local Nawal Kishore Shah, was completely destroyed in the accident.

The bus driver, identified as 32-year-old Narendra Bohra from Vedkot Municipality of Kanchanpur, is currently on the run. According to police, the bus went out of control and collided with the shop and nearby house.
