One dead, 11 injured in a jeep accident in Baitadi

Baitadi: There has been a jeep accident in Baitadi. One person died in a jeep accident.

A jeep accident took place at Pancheshwar in the district. A jeep accident took place in Pancheshwar Rural Municipality-5 Tilakpur Bhita under the Dehimandaun-Giregada road section. Yogesh Khatri, Police Inspector of the District Police Office, said that the accident occurred in a jeep numbered SE 1 J 295 which was coming from Ganameshwar to Dehimandu.

55-year-old Mahadev Bhatt of Pancheswar Rural Municipality-5 died in the accident. Chief District Officer Suresh Panthi, Deputy Superintendent of Police Prem Bahadur Shahi along with a rescue team of 30 people have reached the spot. It is said that the jeep crashed due to brake failure. It is said that the jeep carrying 12 people fell down about 70 meters from the road. 11 others were injured. Their rescue operation is going on.
