Chiranjeevi Chedal as President of Federation of Community Forestry Users Gauriganga

Dhangadhi: Chiranjeevi Chedal has been elected as the president of Community Forest Users Federation Nepal Gauriganga. Chedal was elected as the president from the second session of the federation on Sunday.

Khemraj Sapkota has been elected as the vice president of the federation, Kalpana Chunara as the secretary, Deepak B.K as the joint secretary, Amrita Devi Iyer as the treasurer. Padam Rokaya, Tekraj Sapkota, Dev Bohra, Sher Singh Dhami, Khadak Rawat, Puja Bista Kathayat, Dhana Bhatt, Balika Kumari Shrestha, and Dhaniram Chaudhary have been selected as members.

After being elected as the chairman, the chairman Chedal said that he will work for the rights of the common consumers of the city and work according to the sustainable development goals. Chairman Chedal said that trees will be planted to protect the city's environment, public awareness programs will be conducted at the city level to protect the forest, and fire lines will be constructed to control fires. In addition, Chairman Chedal also said that grazing areas will be allocated in the community forest to manage stray animals.
