Pesticide spraying in high risk areas of malaria in Kanchanpur

Kanchanpur: Pesticides have been sprayed in high risk areas of malaria in Kanchanpur.

District Health Office Kanchanpur has started a campaign to spray antimalarial drugs in risk areas across the district. Malaria Inspector Siddharaj Bhatta of the Health Office said that pesticides will be sprayed in the high risk areas of the district from Monday. Pesticides are going to be sprayed in Bhimdatta Municipality-1 and Krishnapur Municipality-5 where there is a high risk of malaria in the district.

Bhatt said that jhul was distributed in medium risk areas. "According to the plan of the government, work is being done with the goal of reducing malaria to zero in the district by the year 2025." Similarly, Jhul has been distributed to all citizens of Ward No. 9, 10 of Bhimdatta and Ward No. 1, 2 and 6 of Bedkot Municipality.

In the current financial year, 21 malaria patients have been found in Kanchanpur. Bhatt said that 16 of them were found to be infected from outside. Inspector Bhatt said that six of them had severe malaria while the other 14 had less severe malaria.
