Negligence in construction of Shahid Gate-Campus Gate road
Dhangadhi: Common people have complained that the construction company was negligent while paving the Shahid Gate-Campus Gate road. It has been complained that while paving the road, the construction company has either left a hole where the manhole of Nepal Telecom is, or the surface of the manhole has been left higher than the road surface.
According to Jagat Prasad Joshi, the Shivnagar house was negligent by the construction company when it was being constructed with the loan assistance of ADB. He said that the construction company created water on the surface of the road while laying black sheets. 'The road is made in such a way that the water freezes when the road is paved. The road has been paved so that there are pits for water to accumulate in the places where there are manholes,' he said, 'from Shahid Gate to the campus gate, wherever there are manholes and bridges, the road has been constructed in such a way that the water accumulates and becomes a lake.'
The road is about to collapse at the place where the manhole of the old chief minister chowk on the Martyr Gate-Campus Gate road is, while the hole can be seen at the place of the manhole at Mamabhanja Chowk in Taranagar. Similarly, a little before Sukuti Bridge, the manhole is much higher than the road surface, while the manhole of our deriner in Shivnagar can be seen to be covered with black paper to cause water to freeze. Mohan Budha of Campus Road said that the Kailali Nala bridge has been left with black sheeting, while the Campus Road canal has been blacked, but the bridge will still be covered with sand.
However, the construction company said that the manhole work will be done again. Prakashchandra Kharel, the contact person of the construction company, said that since the road work has not been completed, it will be repaired again where the condition is seen. During the construction of the road, the locals have demanded that black sheets should be used to prevent water from accumulating on the road surface. The construction company is working on seven roads in Kalika Dhangadhi. Although the company said that all the roads will be built by May, there is still a lot of work to be done.
