Nepal wins the Prime Minister's Cup football title against Laos
Kathmandu: Nepal has lifted the title of Prime Minister's Cup tri-nation football tournament.
With the help of the decisive goal scored by Manish Dangi with 3 minutes left of the match, Nepal has won the title of the Prime Minister's Cup tri-national football tournament. Nepal defeated Laos 2-1 while lifting the title at home. Dangi scored a beautiful goal in the 87th minute when the game was tied at 1-1. Earlier, Photthavong Sangvilay scored a goal in the 17th minute to give Laos the lead, but Nepal equalized within 7 minutes.
Photthavong scored a half volley while the Nepalese defenders were beaten by Bonpachan Bonkongko's pass. But in the 24th minute, Nepal returned the equalizer. Ayush Ghalan scored from inside the box after a pass by Eric Wist. In the 74th minute of the match, Naveen Lama's shot was punched by the goalkeeper, but Manish netted the return ball, but the goal was offside. In the competition involving three countries including Bhutan, Nepal came first and Laos came second and reached the finals.
