Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission files a case against government officials in Baitadi
Dhangadhi: A case has been filed against six people including the then-education officer of Baitadi. The Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission filed a charge sheet in the special court against Amar Prasad Bhatta, the former district education officer of Baitadi, Sanjay Thakur Danuwar, the former technical assistant of the same office, Manakakumari Awasthi, Hari Nath, the former resource person, Nar Bahadur Kunwar, the headmaster of Balairaj Nimavi and Jairaj Joshi, the management committee chairman of Balairaj Nimavi.
Jishia Bhatta has been accused of corruption by appointing teachers on the basis of false transfer letters. During the investigation by the authority, it was found that Manakakumari Awasthi, a non-teacher who did not have an appointment letter, was appointed by the management committee of Hunainath Basic School located in Salsena of Dogdakedar Rural Municipality.
According to the authority, it has been confirmed that Jisia Bhatt himself approved the appointment without any documents by asking the technical assistant to raise comments. Awasthi has been transferred from Hunainath Basic School to Balairaj Lower Secondary School Sunkhola in Dogdakedar, according to the statement issued by Bhola Dahal, the spokesperson of the Abuse of Authority Investigation Commission.
It is the opinion of the authority that Jisia Bhatt misused the position and caused 74 thousand 920 rupees of damage to public property.
