Illegal timber seized from Kanchanpur.

Kanchanpur: Illegal timber has been seized from Kanchanpur.

A joint team deployed from the Sub Division Forest Office Vani, Sub Division Forest Office Dekhtabhuli, and temporary police post-Vani in Krishnapur Municipality-3 of the district seized the illegal timber.

From the house of Bikasi Rana of Krishnapur Municipality-3, Dekhtabhuli, one timber pellet 10 feet 3 inches round, 7 feet 2 inches long 89 inches round, one sal pellet 7.2 feet long, 17 inches wide, 15 inches round timber. 39.30 cubic feet of wood has been recovered.

Similarly, 51.18 cubic feet of illegal wood was recovered from the house of Rama Rana, consisting of three pieces of timber measuring 6 feet in length, 10 inches in diameter, and 4 inches in thickness.

According to the District Police Office Kanchanpur, 90.48 cubic feet of illegal wood were recovered from both places.
