Rajendra Singh Rawal, the leader of the provincial parliamentary party of the CPN-UML, who was appointed as the Chief Minister on Paush 27, had the initial support of the CPN-Maoist Center, RPP and Nagarik Unmukti.
However, since the Tikapur incident has not been addressed, Nagarik Unmukti refused to give a vote of confidence. Within a month of the formation of the government, the post of Chief Minister Rawal has fallen into disrepair due to the lack of the Nagarik Unmukti Party's support.
According to Article 168 (2) of the Constitution, UML leader Rawal, who became the Chief Minister with the support of CPN-Maoist Center, Nagarik Unmukti, and RPP, was to receive a vote of confidence by 5 pm on Thursday according to Clause 4, otherwise, he would automatically be dismissed according to the Constitution.
