Campaign to improve community schools takes impetus in Dhangadhi

Dhangadhi: A campaign which started in Ward No. 17 of Dhangadhi sub-metropolitan city has been intensified as the locals believe that the government is not serious about the problem of community schools.

Pushparaj Rana, coordinator of the campaign for the educational growth of community schools and the management of private resource teachers and the chairman of the school management committee of New Kalika Basic School Dhurjhanna, said that the movement has been started in a calm manner to address the problems of community schools. Rana said that the memorandum has been submitted to the ward presidents of wards number 7, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19.

The memorandum was handed over to the ward presidents of wards number 7 and 18 on Wednesday. The memorandum was submitted under the leadership of Rana, the coordinator of the campaign for the educational growth of community schools and the management of private resource teachers. During the presentation of the memorandum, the principal of Chandradaya Madhyamik Vidyalaya in Ward No. 18, Shulavachand Subedi, said that the demands raised for the reform of the education sector are legitimate and he fully supports them.

Bhuwan Rizal, the ward chairman of Ward No. 18, claimed that he has been fighting for the reform of the education sector since he was elected. He said that he has moved forward with the aim of building a model school in the ward. Ward Chairman Rizal said that the education division in the sub-metropolitan area needs to be active for the improvement of education.

Similarly, on Wednesday, a memorandum was also submitted to Moti Rana, the ward president of Dhangadhi ward number 7, regarding the problems faced by the education sector.
